After receiving Beto’s frantic radio call about two of his group members, I packed what medical supplies I had and came over. I knew if they had blood plague, time was critical. When I arrived Kristine was in horrible shape. Severely infected with blood plague. Sandy was also infected and her symptoms were more severe.

I’m going to document treatment here for future use.

Kristine’s vital signs upon initial examination:

• Heart rate – 101 bpm
• Systolic – 125 mmHg
• Diastolic – 75 mmHg
• Respiratory Rate – 24 breaths per min
• Temperature – 36.4 C

Administered 3.5 ml of Blood Plague Cure (BPC). Expect results within four hours. This stuff is incredible. Immobilized the torn muscle. Applied anti-bacterial cream to cuts and scratches.

Sandy is my main concern. She has a visibly out-of-place shoulder, swelling, bruising, inability to move the joint and is in intense pain. She reports numbness and tingling in the neck and down the arm.

I was able to adjust the shoulder back into position and have provided her with a sling. I’d normally recommend 3 to 4 months of taking it easy for a full recovery. She’ll be lucky if she can keep it immobile for a week. She has deep lacerations and tearing as well. Provided her with painkillers. I’m not even sure what kind. Administered 3.5 ml of BPC. Sutured wounds in eight locations.

• Heart rate – 105 bpm
• Systolic – 127 mmHg
• Diastolic – 78 mmHg
• Respiratory Rate – 26 breaths per min
• Temperature – 36.7 C

They should both be in a real hospital. I will update as conditions change.

Update after 12 hours. Both Kristine and Sandy have responded well to BPC. Vitals signs returning to normal range. Both experiencing side effect of mild euphoria. Common due to the morphine derivative in BPC.

Left strict instructions for no physical activity for at least 24 hours. Absolutely forbidden to leave the compound of base for their own safety.
